Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience in education.
• Experience in Waldorf or holistic education setting.
• First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Basic computer literacy and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist Grades Teacher in preparing and implementing the Waldorf curriculum for grades 1-8, supporting academic subjects and arts.
• Help create and maintain a positive, supportive, and engaging learning environment per Waldorf principles.
• Provide individualized and small-group support for diverse learning needs.
• Assumes the teacher’s full role in the absence of the lead teacher.
• Assist with classroom management during lessons, ensuring students are engaged and following rules.
• Supervise students during breaks, outdoor activities, and transitions, ensuring safety.
• Help prepare teaching materials and resources for lessons and projects.
• Maintain open communication with the Grades Teacher to ensure curriculum consistency.
• Support classroom routines and maintain organized learning spaces.
• Foster positive relationships with students and build classroom community.
• Model respectful behavior and adherence to school rules.
• Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and community events as directed.
• Support materials for parent-teacher conferences and communication with parents.
