Job summary

Bloomingdale's in Florida is seeking a Server for our in-store restaurant to deliver an exciting dining experience with stellar service, menu knowledge, and awareness of store happenings.

You will take orders, upsell items, and collaborate with a fast-paced team. A High School Diploma is required, and flexibility for day/evening/weekend shifts is expected. Bloomingdale's offers benefits from day-one and an employee discount.

Essential Functions

• Provide excellent service to ensure customer satisfaction
• Present menu and provide detailed information when asked (e.g. about portions, ingredients or food allergies)
• Understand typical "Coursing" as well as the it's link to upselling
• Take accurate food and drinks orders, using ordering system
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple priorities and learn new procedure

Qualifications and Competencies

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Effectively communicate and present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers
• Ability to read and interpret instructional documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals
• Ability to work a flexible schedule with retail hours, including day, evening, weekends, and/or holidays

Physical Requirements

• Position requires prolonged periods of standing/walking around store or department
• May involve reaching, crouching, kneeling and stoopingFrequent use of computers and other technology, necessary to perform job functions, including handheld equipment, cash register and ability to process register transactions
• Frequently lift/move up to 25lbs
