- Position: Part‑time WAITER/WAITRESS
- Location: Mayo Clinic Charter House – 211 Second Street, Rochester, MN 55905 (online applications only)
- Schedule: Part time; days vary, 3:30 PM to 8:00 PM; rotating weekends required (details discussed in interview)
- Pay: $18.50 – $19.50 per hour
- Requirement: Previous wait staff and food service experience preferred
Job Summary
Take food and beverage orders and efficiently deliver items to dining room guests.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Promptly and warmly greet guests and take orders efficiently.
- Deliver food promptly and professionally while maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards.
- Follow up to assist with additional needs or requests.
- Demonstrate complete understanding of menu items, ingredients, and specialized diets or allergens.
- Communicate directly with back‑of‑house staff to ensure correct orders and special requests.
- Exhibit exceptional communication skills, working flexibly and patiently with guests and staff.
- Collect tickets and follow proper cash‑handling procedures.
- Promote a clean, safe, and neat environment for guests.
- Maintain sensitivity and confidentiality regarding personal or medical information.
- Promptly address complaints or issues and report to supervisor.
- Ensure dining room is properly set up before and after service and keep area clean while meeting sanitation standards.
- Operate equipment such as fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells, and coffee machines.
- Collaborate with other departments for special events and functions.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
