Schedule
On call; days and hours may vary. Evening, weekend, and holiday availability is required.
Pay
Fixed Pay Rate: $23.00 per hour.
Requirement
Previous catering experience is required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room; take food and beverages in an efficient manner following established steps of service.
- Deliver food promptly and professionally; maintain safe food handling and sanitation standards. Follow up periodically to assist with any additional needs or requests.
- Demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and ingredients. Advise guests on appropriate combinations of food and drinks when requested; accommodate reasonable requests and note preferences. As needed, demonstrate knowledge of specialized diets and allergens.
- Communicate directly with back‑of‑the‑house staff to ensure that orders are delivered correctly and special requests are accommodated.
- Exhibit exceptional communication skills and demonstrate ability to get along well with others. Remain flexible and patient when communicating with guests and staff.
- Collect tickets and follow proper cash‑handling procedures.
- Promote a clean, safe and neat environment for guests.
- Maintain a high level of sensitivity and confidentiality regarding personal or medical information that is shared.
- Promptly address complaints or issues; relay relevant information or complaints directly to supervisor.
- Ensure that the dining room is properly set up prior to and after the service period; keep the area clean and neat while meeting established sanitation standards.
- Operate a variety of equipment, including fire extinguishers, telephones, iced‑tea/soda machines, soup wells and coffee machines.
- Work with staff of other departments to perform job duties during special events and functions.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Use oven mitts, fryer gloves, or steamer gloves when handling hot pans from ovens, warmers, or steamtables.
