Unidine is hiring immediately for full-time and part-time WAITER/WAITRESS positions.

Position Details

• Location: The Davis Community - 1011 Porters Neck Road, Wilmington, NC 28411.
• Schedule: Full-time schedule; Monday through Saturday, 3:30 pm to 8:30 pm. Sunday, 9:30 am to 2:30 pm. More details upon interview.
• Requirement: No prior experience required. Willing to train!

• Pay Range: $15.00 to $17.00 per hour.

Job Summary

Summary: Takes food and beverage orders and efficiently delivers items to dining room guests.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room; take food and beverages in an efficient manner, following established steps of service.
2. Deliver food promptly and professionally; maintain safe food handling and sanitation standards. Follow up periodically to assist with any additional needs or requests.
3. Demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and ingredients. Advise guests on appropriate food and drink combinations when requested; accommodate reasonable requests and note preferences. Demonstrate knowledge of specialized diets and allergens as needed.
4. Communicate directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure correct order delivery and accommodation of special requests.
5. Exhibit exceptional communication skills and ability to get along well with others. Remain flexible and patient when communicating with guests and staff.
6. Collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures.
7. Promote a clean, safe, and neat environment for guests.
8. Maintain high sensitivity and confidentiality regarding personal or medical information shared.
9. Address complaints or issues promptly; relay relevant information or complaints directly to supervisor.
10. Ensure the dining room is properly set up before and after service; keep area clean and meet sanitation standards.
11. Operate various equipment including fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells, and coffee machines.
12. Collaborate with staff of other departments during special events and functions.
13. Perform other duties as assigned.
