Qualifications

  • Food Handlers Certification or ServSafe Certification is preferred but not required.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • Previous experience in a restaurant, senior living, or healthcare setting is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Greet residents, take accurate meal orders, and relay them to the kitchen staff.
  • Serve meals and beverages to residents observing dietary restrictions and preferences.
  • Engage with residents to address concerns or special requests promptly.
  • Set up and clear dining tables, ensuring the area is clean and welcoming.
  • Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines and maintain cleanliness in serving areas.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff and other team members to ensure smooth dining service.
  • Document meal choices, dietary preferences, and any issues related to food service as required.
  • Assist in the preparation and service of meals for special events and functions.
