Jobs in this job family are responsible for performing diagnostic and therapeutic imaging procedures to support patient care, clinical research, and medical education. These roles utilize advanced imaging technologies—such as X-rays, MRI, CT scans, ultrasound, nuclear medicine, and interventional radiology—to produce high-quality images that aid in the diagnosis, monitoring, and treatment of medical conditions.

Scope of Responsibilities

These roles focus on using ultrasound technology to produce images of the body's internal structures, such as organs, tissues, and blood vessels. The images are essential for diagnosing and monitoring various medical conditions.

Individual contributors with responsibility in a clinical discipline or specialty. Typically involves diagnosing, treating, and caring for patients, and often includes face‑to‑face interactions with patients. May also spend time designing and implementing clinical programs, policies, and services using specialized knowledge and skills. A specialty license or certification, acquired through advanced education, training and/or experience, is required. This career stream is most commonly applied to patient care and/or scientific/laboratory technologist jobs.

Entry‑level position typically requiring little to no prior knowledge or experience and requiring vocational or technical education. Work is routine or follows standard procedures and is closely supervised. It involves communicating information that requires little explanation or interpretation.

Minimum Requirements

• Education: Graduate of an accredited program in an appropriate area of specialty as required by position. Must have certification from ARDMS or CCI.
• Experience: Experience preferred.
• Licensure: American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required; additional requirements specified by position.

Physical Demands

Job requires standing for prolonged periods, frequently bending/stooping, reaching (overhead, extensive, and repetitive). Repetitive motion includes computer keyboard use. Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; attention to detail and ability to write legibly. Ability to lift/push/pull 50–100 lbs. May be exposed to cold, dust, noise, radiation, blood/body fluids and infectious disease.

The pay range for this role is $32.98–$49.18 hourly. Individual compensation will be determined by the selected candidate's qualifications, previous work experience, and/or education.
