Job summary

Polar Semiconductor in Bloomington, MN seeks a detail-oriented Wafer Fabrication Operator to support semiconductor manufacturing in a cleanroom. You will perform wafer processing steps such as photoresist application, alignment, exposure, development, etching, and cleaning, directly impacting wafer quality and production efficiency.

You will work across Photo, Etch, Thin Films, Metal Deposition, Diffusion, Epi, and LPCVD, inspect wafers, log using Net Vision, follow safety guidelines, and assist

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to follow established procedures and work independently.
• Manual dexterity for handling wafers, cassettes, and cleanroom tools.
• Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods in a cleanroom environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform wafer fabrication processes across Photo, Etch, Thin Films, Metal Deposition, Diffusion, Epi, and LPCVD.
• Inspect wafers to ensure they meet specifications and quality standards.
• Log processed and in-process wafers using Net Vision.
• Follow safety guidelines and established methods for all tasks.
• Support quality programs, 5S, yield improvement, safety and cost containment.
• Train and support lower-level operators as progression occurs.
