Job summary

Kyocera SLD Laser, Inc. in Fremont, CA is seeking a Manufacturing Technician to support wafer fab production of laser lots and ensure process execution aligns with quality standards.

The role requires hands-on experience with lithography, thin film deposition, etch processes, and data entry into the MES system, with a shift from 6:00 am to 6:15 pm on Sundays, Mondays, Tuesdays and alternating Wednesdays.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent with 1 year wafer fab experience.
• AS or BS with wafer fab experience preferred.
• Able to work in A shift 6:00 am–6:15 pm (Sun, Mon, Tue; alternate Wed).
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Experience with III-V laser is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Process production laser lots in wafer fab (Lithography, thin film deposition, dry etch, wet etch, microscopy, metrology).
• Support process engineers on process maintenance and improvement.
• Track process steps through electronic traveler system / MES.
• Collaborate with team members to suggest improvements in manufacturing process to enhance productivity.
• Data entry and process calculations such as deposition and etch rates and time.
