Job summary

Coherent Corp. is seeking an InP wafer process technician in Fremont to support cleanroom fabrication of InP devices. You will operate and monitor wafer processing steps in a controlled environment and maintain strict ESD procedures.

The role requires attention to detail, ability to stand long shifts, and collaboration with engineering for process training. This 12-hour shift position is on-site, with safety and ISO standards as a priority.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• At least 2 years in a high-tech manufacturing environment.
• Wafer handling experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process InP semiconductor wafers in a cleanroom and ESD-safe environment.
• Become certified in multiple process areas such as Photolithography, Wet etch, and Dry etch.
• Perform thin-film deposition and metallization/ plating operations.
• Record wafer characterization data and update MES with WIP location.
• Interact with engineering for process training and non-standard work instructions.
• Adhere to safety protocols and ISO/EHS standards.
• Support Emergency Response Team participation.
• Record discrepancies and escalate issues when needed.
