Job summary

X-FAB in Lubbock, TX is seeking an Entry Level Associate to operate high-tech semiconductor equipment and support the manufacturing team. This full-time day shift role requires standing 10–12 hours and meticulous record-keeping.

Responsibilities include following instructions, basic math, operating a PC and microscope, and ensuring cleanroom dress requirements are followed. A high school diploma or GED is required.

Functions / Duties:

Operate various pieces of high-tech equipment in a semiconductor wafer fab in Lubbock, Texas. Requires prolonged standing (10 to 12 hours per day). Must be able to keep clear, accurate records & work with a minimum of supervision. Must be able to recognize problems & take appropriate corrective actions; be an individual contributor to the manufacturing team; be directly responsible for material management.

Current Skills/Competencies:

• Ability to read and follow instructions, use simple mathematics & keep accurate production records.
• Extreme accuracy in data recording, transferring and in arithmetic calculations.
• Ability to operate a personal computer.
• Must be able to use a microscope.
• Accurately communicate verbally and in written form.
• Must conform to special dress requirements which include wearing no cosmetics, perfume or cologne.
• Good dexterity and ability to use the hands for handling the product.
