Atlas is seeking a WABO Special Inspector to perform inspections on large transportation projects in the Pacific Northwest. The ideal candidate will be WABO certified, preferably with structural steel and post‑tensioned concrete experience, and will deliver clear inspection reports and timely field results.

Qualifications

• WABO certification required, preferably structural steel and post-tensioned concrete.
• ICC certifications (multiple categories) preferred.
• ACI Concrete Field-Testing Technician Grade I preferred.
• WAQTC, CWI, NACE certifications or related qualifications welcomed.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and able to prepare reports.

Job Description

The ideal Inspector will be WABO certified, preferably structural steel and post tensioned concrete. Core Responsibilities

• Conduct applicable inspections as scheduled
• High proficiency with verbal and written communication
• Ability to read, interpret and understand project specifications and drawings
• Prepare timely and accurate reports and documentation of field activities and testing results
• Accuracy, attention to detail and timeliness of results is essential

You’ll thrive here if you have

• WABO certification required. Preferably structural steel and post tensioned concrete.
• Preferred certifications including ICC (multiple categories), ACI Concrete Field-Testing Technician Grade I, Radiation Safety/Nuclear Density Gauge, WSDOT/WAQTC, CWI, NACE and other materials related certifications
• Basic awareness of problem solving and decision-making skills
• Ability to accomplish work within required timelines, including short, long and emergency timeframes
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Must be able to lift, carry, push and pull up to 50 pounds one a regular basis
• Familiarity with construction practices and materials testing
• Valid driver's license upon hire
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite

About the Job

• Employment Type: Full-time
• Compensation: $32 - $55 hourly rate
  The expected salary range for the position is displayed in accordance with the state’s law. Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience.
