Job summary

Atlas is seeking a WABO Special Inspector to provide critical inspection services on some of the largest transportation projects in the Pacific Northwest. You will document field observations, test results and ensure compliance with project specifications and safety standards.

You’ll need WABO certification and related credentials, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Atlas supports growth with internal certifications, tuition reimbursement and comprehensive health, retirement, and safety

Qualifications

• WABO Certification in any capacity.
• Valid driver’s license at hire.
• Familiarity with construction practices and materials testing.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to read, interpret and understand project drawings and specifications.

Core Responsibilities

• High proficiency with verbal and written communication
• Ability to read, interpret and understand project specifications and drawings

• Basic awareness of problem solving and decision-making skills
• Ability to accomplish work within required timelines, including short, long and emergency timeframes
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Must be able to lift, carry, push and pull up to 50 pounds one a regular basis
• Familiarity with construction practices and materials testing
• Valid driver's license upon hire
• Preferred certifications including ICC (multiple categories), ACI Concrete Field-Testing Technician Grade I, Radiation Safety/Nuclear Density Gauge, WSDOT/WAQTC, CWI, NACE and other materials related certifications
• WABO Certification in any capacity
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite

About the Job

• Employment Type: Full-time
• Compensation: $32 - $55 hourly rate
  The expected salary range for the position is displayed in accordance with the state’s law. Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience.
