Job summary

Octans Group LLC is seeking a Grafana Technical SME (Infrastructure Observability/SRE) to design, implement, and troubleshoot large-scale observability solutions. Hybrid work arrangements are preferred in TX or NJ with local candidates prioritized.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on production experience with Grafana Cloud, OpenTelemetry, and modern monitoring platforms, plus strong skills in SRE practices, automation, and incident response.

Position: Grafana Technical SME (Infrastructure Observability/SRE)
Location: TX or NJ (Hybrid)

Requirement:
Seeking a Grafana Technical SME with a strong Infrastructure/SRE background to design, implement, and troubleshoot enterprise observability solutions. The ideal candidate should have hands‑on production experience with Grafana Cloud, OpenTelemetry, and modern monitoring platforms, with expertise in resolving infrastructure and performance issues rather than application development.

Required Skills:

• Expert-level Grafana dashboard design, implementation, and Grafana Cloud migration.
• Strong Python scripting and automation experience.
• Application Performance Monitoring (APM) and observability expertise.
• Hands‑on log tracing, root cause analysis, and distributed systems troubleshooting.
• AWS cloud integration experience.
• Experience with Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, Dynatrace, AppDynamics, Datadog, and Splunk.
• Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Python, and Shell scripting.
• Experience configuring SLO-based alerting and optimizing observability platforms.
• Strong production support and infrastructure troubleshooting experience.
