Job summary

O'Meara Volkswagen in Thornton, CO is seeking an experienced, Certified VW main line technician to join our service team. This role focuses on diagnosing and repairing customer vehicles and assisting with inventory reconditioning to maintain high-quality workmanship.

Responsibilities include diagnosing and repairing engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, and A/C systems; performing common repairs such as brakes, radiators, and tune-ups; and using electronic diagnostic

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Service Technician experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent; ASE Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair service vehicles and reconditioning inventory.
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, and A/C systems.
• Common repairs include brakes, radiators, tune-ups, and other basic repairs.
• Understand how vehicle components interact and repair sensors, electronics, timing, and related systems.
• Operate electronic diagnostic equipment and follow service procedures.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the correct diagnosis & repair of service customer vehicles as well as inventory reconditioning vehicles
• Ability to diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
• Common repairs include but not limited to suspension work, brakes, radiators, tune-ups, & other basic repairs
• Broad knowledge of how vehicles’ complex components work and interact
• High level of aptitude for correctly repairing sensors, computer issues, electronics, timing, & Amp; C repair

Qualifications

3+ years of Service Technician experience preferred

High school diploma or equivalent, ASE Certification required

Dexterity, requiring a steady hand, excellent hand-eye coordination

Mechanical and troubleshooting skills and ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment

Excellent customer service skills and basic computer competencies

Positive, friendly attitude, along with an eagerness to improve

Enjoy working in a dynamic environment

Teammate with ability to collaborate with others effectively

Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specifications

Valid driver's license and clean driving record
