Job summary

Research Innovations, Inc. is seeking a Security Researcher in the United States to independently explore and exploit complex systems, from kernels to embedded platforms, for defense and homeland security impact.

The role requires an active US Top Secret clearance (with TS/SCI upgrade potential) and full-time commitment, involving reverse engineering, PoC development, and collaboration with a skilled team.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in memory layout, CPU basics, OS internals.
• Experience with reverse engineering, binary analysis, or vulnerability discovery.
• Proficient with IDA, Ghidra, Binary Ninja, or debuggers.
• Proficient Python and at least one compiled language (C preferred).
• Knowledge of exploit mitigations, cryptography, and TCP/IP/HTTP/DNS behavior.
• Demonstrated curiosity and self-driven learning.

Responsibilities

• Conduct reverse engineering and vulnerability analysis on applications, OS components, and embedded systems with guidance from senior researchers.
• Identify attack surfaces, analyze in-memory behavior, and document findings.
• Create simple PoCs or scripts to validate discovered vulnerabilities.
• Support research on mobile devices, firmware, and embedded platforms.
• Collaborate with teammates, participate in design discussions, and contribute to tooling.
• Communicate results clearly to peers and improve documentation.
