Job summary

In-Shape Fitness in Modesto, CA is seeking an energetic Instructor or Coach to lead VTL group workouts, guiding members through engaging, safe sessions, live or virtual.

You will mentor on wellness pathways, deliver motivating cuing, and foster community while ensuring proper form and safety. Requires certification within 45 days and availability evenings/weekends. Competitive hourly pay with incentive options and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• National fitness certification required to teach paid programming.
• Lifeguard certification held or training provided after hire.
• Audition is required as part of the selection process.
• 2+ years of team sports experience for sports classes.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Bilingual skills a plus.
• CPR certification must be obtained within 60 days of hire date.

Responsibilities

• Motivate members to explore multiple group fitness classes, recreational sports programs and club amenities to enhance their fitness journey.
• Promote and participate in club events encouraging members and guests to attend through social media channels and engaging members in the club.
• Connect with members through being welcoming and approachable; teach authentically and give genuine praise.
• Validate members' access to paid programming.
• Deliver a motivating instructional experience in every class, with solid cuing and varied modifications.
