Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR presents CMI Inc. hiring a Daikin VRV Technician to install, startup, and commission VRV/VRF units, survey sites, and position equipment per specs.

You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and refrigerant work, interface with BMS, document start-up reports, and maintain safety via PPE and proper training.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of commercial HVAC field experience focusing on VRV/VRF systems.
• EPA Universal Technician Certification is required.
• A clean driving record and valid driver's license.
• Education includes high school diploma or GED; trade school in mechanical/refrigeration preferred.
• Specialized Daikin product training is a strong advantage.

Responsibilities

• Oversee site surveys, assist with equipment positioning, and perform initial commissioning on new Daikin VRV/VRF outdoor and indoor units.
• Conduct scheduled Preventive Maintenance (PPM), clean coils, inspect condensate systems, and replace filters per intervals.
• Troubleshoot complex electrical, mechanical, and refrigerant faults using diagnostic tools and schematics.
• Install copper lines, perform brazing, check for leaks, and manage refrigerant recovery.
• Interface with Building Management Systems (BMS) to interpret trend data and adjust control parameters.
• Complete digital start-up reports, service logs, and client handover summaries.

The responsibilities of the Daikin VRV Technician handles complex heat pump and heat recovery systems, refrigerant piping networks, and digital control integration. This role requires independent field work, strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, and adherence to manufacturer specifications

Key Responsibilities:

• Installation and Startup: Oversee site surveys, assist with equipment positioning, and perform initial commissioning or startup on new Daikin VRV/VRF outdoor and indoor units.
• Preventive Maintenance (PPM): Conduct scheduled maintenance, clean coils, inspect condensate systems, and replace filters per manufacturer service intervals.
• Diagnostics and Repair: Troubleshoot complex electrical, mechanical, and refrigerant‑circuit faults using specialized diagnostic tools and schematics.
• Refrigerant Work: Install copper lines, execute precise brazing, check for system leaks, and manage refrigerant recovery.
• System Integration: Interface with Building Management Systems (BMS) to interpret trend data, analyze error codes, and adjust control parameters.
• Documentation: Complete thorough digital start‑up reports, service logs, and client handover summaries.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Experience: 3 to 5 years of commercial HVAC field experience, with direct working knowledge of VRV/VRF technology.
• Certifications: EPA Universal Technician Certification; valid driver's license with a clean record.
• Education: High school diploma or GED; trade school certificate or degree in mechanical/refrigeration engineering.
• Specialized Training: Factory or manufacturer-recognized Daikin product training is a strong advantage.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50–75 lbs, climb ladders, work in confined or high‑temperature mechanical rooms, and wear mandatory PPE
