Job summary

Spectraforce Technologies seeks a VRS Report Developer to implement and customize Vermilion for client investment reporting in a Newark, NJ hybrid setup.

You will integrate VRS with SQL Server and Oracle, build automated workflows, and design branded reports (PDF/HTML/MS Office) while ensuring data accuracy and performance.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of enterprise software implementation in financial services.
• Strong SQL (MS SQL/Oracle), ETL, and database debugging skills.
• Deep Vermilion (VRS) knowledge with modules, APIs, and report design.
• Understanding of performance measurement and client reporting.

Responsibilities

• Platform configuration: Implement, configure, and customize Vermilion Reporting Suite (VRS).

Title: VRS Report Developer

Location: Newark, NJ (Hybrid)

Key Responsibilities:

• Platform Configuration: Implement, configure, and customize the Vermilion Reporting Suite (VRS) to meet specific client investment reporting needs.
• Technical Integration: Design and manage data interfaces between VRS and external sources (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, Markit EDM, Aladdin, API/XML/JSON).
• Workflow Automation: Build, test, and maintain automated reporting workflows and batch processing.
• Report Development: Design high-quality, branded reports and templates (PDF, MS Office, HTML) for various asset classes.
• Testing & Troubleshooting: Conduct system testing, data validation, and troubleshooting to ensure accuracy and platform performance.

Required Technical & Professional Skills

• Domain Expertise: 8-10 years of experience in enterprise software implementation, specifically within financial services/asset management.
• Core Technical Skills: Strong SQL (MS SQL/Oracle), ETL processes, and database debugging skills.
• VRS Experience: Deep knowledge of Vermilion modules, APIs, and report design.
• Financial Knowledge: Understanding of performance measurement, client reporting, and portfolio data (Fixed Income, Equity, Derivatives).

Soft Skills: Strong project management, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
