Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Two years of professional experience in a behavioral or social science-related field or one year of professional experience as a Vocational Rehabilitation Specialist I providing rehabilitation counseling or vocational evaluation services to clients with physical or behavioral disabilities, or teaching services to clients with partial or total visual impairment.
• Note: A Master's degree in a Behavioral or Social Science related field may be substituted for one year of the required experience.
• Preference will be given to applicants with experience working with blind or low vision individuals.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with disabilities to obtain employment aligned with their interests, skills, capacities, and informed choices.
• Determine applicant eligibility for services and the scope of services needed to address disability barriers.
• Coordinate services with partners and ensure compliance with federal/state regulations and division policy.
• Provide employment readiness support and ensure identified services are provided or coordinated.
