Critical Solutions is seeking a VPN/Firewall Network Engineer to support our federal customer in Norfolk, VA. The role focuses on designing, implementing, and maintaining robust network security solutions using Juniper firewalls, DMZs, and VPN technologies.

You will work with cross-functional teams to safeguard the network infrastructure and ensure high availability. The position requires an active DoD Secret clearance, CCNP Security/CISSP/CASP+ and associate vendor certifications

Competenze

U.S. Citizen with an active DoD Secret clearance.
B.S. degree with relevant experience; degree may be substituted.
Active DoD 8570.01 IAT Level III Certification (CCNP Security, CISSP, or CASP+).
Active Associate-level Network Vendor Certification (Cisco, Juniper, Palo, or F5).
On-call rotation and Tier III incident management responsibilities.

Mansioni

Provide VPN, DMZ, and Firewall SME support for the Agency's largest intranet.
Collaborate with NOC and Network Engineering to define and improve network security appliances.
Test and validate automation and best-practice insertions.
Lead development of Network SOPs/TTPs and CSI.
Plan and execute network upgrades and maintenance with key stakeholders.
Provide Tier III escalation support and vendor engagement.
Contribute to Root Cause Analysis for problems.
