Charter Schools USA Inc. is seeking a VPK Teacher to foster a caring, developmentally appropriate classroom that supports children's curiosity and growth.

You will collaborate with a co-teacher, mentor staff, and engage families in reporting progress and development while ensuring safety, accreditation, and compliance with state childcare standards. The ideal candidate holds a VPK Credential, a CDA/BS, and at least one year of lead teacher experience in a licensed facility.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED
• CDA/Staff Credential/BS required
• VPK Credential required
• 1 year experience as lead teacher in licensed childcare
• Meets state childcare education requirements
• Knowledge of infant/toddler developmentally appropriate practice (DAP)
• Familiar with NAEYC standards
• Familiar with continuity of care
• Able to maintain professional composure in stressful situations

Job Purpose

As a VPK Teacher, you will help foster a nurturing environment that is rich in developmentally appropriate activities that will encourage children’s curiosity and learning. We care for the whole child as an individual including their social -- emotional, cognitive, and developmental needs.

• CDA/Staff Credential/BS *required*
• VPK Credential *required*
• 1-year experience working as lead teacher in a licensed childcare facility
• Meets state childcare education requirements
• Knowledge of infant/toddler developmentally appropriate practice (DAP)
• Familiar with NAEYC standards
• Familiar with continuity of care
• Strong organizational skills
• Able to maintain professional composure in stressful situations
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• Familiar with accreditation process -- preferred
• May perform other duties assigned.
