Job summary

The Learning Experience in Riverview, FL is seeking a caring VPK Teacher to provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment for preschool children. You will support their social, emotional, cognitive, language, and physical development while helping them prepare for kindergarten.

Responsibilities include planning age-appropriate lessons, following Florida VPK standards, communicating with families, and maintaining orderly classroom records.

Qualifications

  • Meet Florida VPK teacher qualification requirements.
  • Credentials or coursework in early childhood education as applicable.
  • Experience with preschool-aged children preferred.
  • CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain it.
  • Background screening and childcare employment requirements are required.

  • Follow Florida VPK standards and curriculum requirements.
  • Create a safe, welcoming, and developmentally appropriate classroom environment.
  • Support children's social-emotional development and positive behavior.

  • Maintain accurate attendance, developmental, and classroom records.
  • Communicate regularly and professionally with parents and guardians.
  • Monitor children's health, safety, and overall well-being.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating classroom.
  • Work cooperatively with other teachers, administrators, and support staff.
  • Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and required training.
  • Follow all center policies and applicable Florida childcare and VPK regulations.

  • Ability to pass required background screening and meet applicable childcare employment requirements.
