Job summary
BMO Financial Group | Vice President, Trade Risk Distribution & Trade Credit Insurance Management leads growth and risk management of the bank’s trade finance and working capital solutions. You will cultivate investor and insurer relationships, support transaction execution, and optimize portfolio risk for capital efficiency.
The role collaborates with Origination, Credit, Treasury, Legal, and Operations to facilitate distribution and insurance of trade-related assets.
Qualifications
- 6–10+ years of experience in Trade Finance, Supply Chain Finance, Working Capital Solutions or related fields.
- Established relationships with Financial Institutions, Trade Asset Managers, Insurance Providers.
- Strong analytical, communication, and relationship-management skills.
- Ability to assess risks and execute risk transfer and distribution strategies.
Responsibilities
- Support the distribution of trade finance assets to banks, investors, and asset managers.
- Develop and maintain relationships with distribution partners and insurers.
- Assist in structuring participations, assignments, and other risk-transfer transactions.
- Monitor market appetite, pricing, liquidity, and investor requirements to support execution.
- Identify opportunities for risk distribution and portfolio optimization with cross-functional teams.
