Job summary

Portage Point Partners, LLC seeks a Vice President, TAS SALT to lead tax diligence across M&A and corporate actions for private equity sponsors, lenders, and corporate clients in a fast-paced environment.

You will oversee buy-side and sell-side engagements, provide strategic tax insights, and mentor junior staff while collaborating with senior leaders. Chicago-based with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required with CPA or JD/LLM in Tax.
• 5+ years in mergers & acquisitions tax at Big Four or Big Law.
• Strong knowledge of federal/state income tax and related issues.

Responsibilities

• Lead or support tax diligence in M&A transactions.
• Identify tax risks and opportunities, draft client reports.
• Support business development and client relations.
• Coach junior team members and share best practices.
