Job summary

Mythic is seeking a VP of Systems Engineering to own end-to-end bring-up, platform validation, and system reliability for AMP-based products, including cards and M.2 modules.

You will build and lead the systems engineering team, drive cross-functional co-validation with firmware, compiler, and applications groups, and serve as the primary escalation point for customers and partners across robotics, automotive, defense, and data center.

Qualifications

• 12+ years in systems engineering, silicon bring-up, or platform validation with growing team scope.
• Direct chip experience from tape-out to post-silicon validation into shipping hardware.
• Strong HW/SW boundary understanding and board-level electrical debugging.
• Proven ability to build and scale a systems/validation org in semiconductors or systems companies.
• Experience supporting external customers/OEMs through qualification and deployment of new silicon.
• Comfort working in a startup environment with ambiguity and process-building responsibilities.
• Preferred: experience with non-standard compute architectures (analog or in-memory).
• Background in large-scale systems engineering (e.g., bring-up/validation/platform roles) and ability to adapt from big-company practices.
• Familiarity with edge AI deployment environments (robotics, automotive, defense) where power, size and reliability matter.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end systems engineering for AMP-based products: bring-up, platform validation, and characterization across M1076 APU, PCIe cards, and M.2 modules.
• Build and scale the systems engineering team as Mythic grows from single-chip to multi-card and rack-scale deployments.
• Drive hardware/software co-validation with firmware, compiler, and applications teams to validate silicon performance claims in real workloads.
• Serve as the primary escalation point for silicon and platform issues raised by customers and partners across robotics, automotive, defense, and data center.
• Own test infrastructure, automation, and characterization methods to shorten bring-up-to-production timelines for new silicon and card revisions.
• Feed field learnings back into next-generation chip and system design with product and architecture teams.
