Nurix Therapeutics seeks a V.P./SVP, Global Development Leader to drive strategic medical leadership across phase 1–3 programs, ensuring safety, quality and regulatory alignment. This role reports to the Chief Medical Officer and leads cross-functional teams delivering program objectives.

The ideal candidate holds an MD with hematology/oncology board certification, 10+ years in clinical trials within pharma, and a proven ability to translate scientific insights into development plans.

Qualifications

  • MD, board certified preferably in hematology/oncology.
  • Requires at least 10 years’ clinical trial experience in the pharmaceutical industry with demonstrated involvement in Ph3 design or execution.
  • Excellent communicator with leadership skills and ability to interact in cross-functional settings.

Responsibilities

  • Lead one or more Program teams from Clinical Development, Research and Translational Medicine, Regulatory, and Quality from phase 1 through launch.
  • Serve as single point of accountability for BTK Program Global Development Team and governance forums.
  • Set direction with stakeholders and execute program strategy aligned with corporate goals.
  • Drive development plans and ensure safety, regulatory compliance, and data interpretation across trials.
  • Interact with principal investigators and opinion leaders to facilitate clinical trials research.
  • Refine clinical development processes, data collection systems, and final reports.

We are seeking a brilliant, organized and highly motivated leader who will provide strategic and tactical medical leadership and will deliver key clinical and scientific leadership to clinical development programs while ensuring the highest standard for safety and compliance with regulatory requirements and standard procedures. The ideal candidate should have experience working in a fast-paced dynamic environment.The successful candidate will report to the Chief Medical Officer.The responsibilities of this leader are listed below.

  • Lead one or more Program teams comprised of functional representatives fromClinical Development(Clinical Operations, Medical Monitoring, Clinical Science),Research andTranslational Medicine, Regulatory, Technical Operations, Quality, and Commercial fromphase 1throughphase 3 and throughapproval and launch;serveas the single point of accountability for the BTK ProgramGlobal Development Team (GDT), and to create and drive key program decisions through appropriate governance forums, where appropriate
  • As a member of theClinicalExecutiveManagement Team, partner with stakeholders to set clear direction and executeagainst goals for a portfolio of clinical stage therapies, ensuring the development and execution of program strategy is in line with corporate strategy and goals
  • Drive the development and communication of program plans and development plan in partnership with the asset teams and program management
  • Facilitate cross-functional communication; drive strategic and operational alignment with the Program team, functional leads, and Executive Management Team
  • Identifychallenges and risks and prepare the team with mitigations to navigate through technical and program challenges as they arise
  • Develop orparticipatein the refinement/update of the Clinical Development Plan (CDP);act asor overseethe clinical leadsfor protocols and supportive activities to meet the CDP objectives
  • Provide medical oversight for ongoing clinical trials including regular review of clinical data to improve understanding of the molecule profile, including but not limited to safety and activity
  • Provide clinical oversight for Company operational staff and contract research organizations (CROs) in all areas related to the execution of therapeutic programs
  • Provideand or overseetraining and ongoing input to all members of the clinical team on medical and scientific issues related to theappropriate therapeuticfield
  • Provide medical support for all relevant regulatory discussions and activities, such as IND’s and NDA/MAAs
  • Interact with principal investigators and opinion leaders tofacilitateclinical trials research
  • Refine and orestablishprocesses andmethods for design and implementation of applicable clinical protocols, data collectionsystemsand final reports
  • Data presentation to executive leaders, internal and external medical colleagues in one on one or large group settings (50+).

Required Qualifications
  • MD, board certified preferably inhematology/oncology
  • Requires at least 10 years’ clinical trial experience in the setting ofpharmaceuticalindustry withdemonstratedexperience and involvement in clinical trial design or execution.In particular,Ph3clinical trial planning and execution.
  • Relevant clinical research experience in academic settings will be reviewedin light ofclinical development experience
  • Excellent communicator with proven leadership skills and the ability to interact in a cross functional environment
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced small company environment with minimal direction and able to adjust workload based upon changing priorities
  • Proven leadership experience leading high performing teams and individuals
  • Hands on leadershipapproachwill be best suited for this critical role
  • Experience working in a highly productive and high achieving collaboration
