Job summary

NextDecade Corporation in Houston seeks a Vice President, Strategic Planning & Economics to lead long-range planning, financial modeling, and evaluation of major LNG projects and strategic investments. You will partner with CFO, CEO and leadership to shape corporate strategy and financing plans.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Business, or related field.
10+ years of experience in corporate and strategic planning, project finance or related areas.
Expert Excel and financial modeling skills with ability to translate assumptions into executive insights.

Responsibilities

Design and maintain an integrated long-range corporate planning model for cash flow, earnings, and scenario planning.
Lead financial analyses supporting strategic growth, capital allocation, and portfolio optimization.
Evaluate strategic options with scenario modeling, enterprise value assessments, and risk-adjusted return analysis.
Develop board-ready materials and executive summaries for major investments and financings.
Lead SPA and commercial contract evaluations and provide financing recommendations.
