Job summary

The Information Technology Industry Council (ITI) seeks a Vice President of State Government Affairs to lead ITI’s state policy program from its Washington, DC headquarters. The role reports to the Executive Vice President of Government Affairs and partners with member companies to shape state policy across the United States.

You will build and manage a high-impact team, develop strategic plans, and drive engagement with state officials, drafting testimony and letters, while ensuring regulatory

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in state government affairs.
• Broad knowledge of technology industry policy.
• Experience in state government and/or trade associations.
• Proficiency in monitoring and analyzing state legislation.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Travel up to 50%.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a strategic plan for expanding ITI’s state government affairs function.
• Recruit and manage a team of government affairs professionals and consultants as needed.
• Represent ITI before state policymakers, draft position letters, and submit regulatory comments.
• Coordinate with member companies and ITI teams to influence state policy nationwide.
• Ensure compliance with state lobbying registration requirements.
