Job description

We are looking for a VP of Solution Architecture to lead and transform VTEX’s global Solution Architecture organization.

At VTEX, Solution Architecture is primarily an implementation organization. The team is responsible for helping enterprise customers successfully implement and scale complex B2B and B2C commerce operations on the VTEX platform.

Reporting directly to the Chief Revenue Officer, you will lead the global SA discipline across North America, Brazil, Latin America, and Europe. Your mandate is to evolve the organization from a project-based delivery model into a scalable onboarding function that improves implementation outcomes, accelerates Time to Revenue, and raises the quality and consistency of commerce implementations across the full customer portfolio.

This is a transformation role. You will combine executive leadership, deep implementation experience, technical credibility, strong people management, and the ability to operate effectively in high-pressure customer situations.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Define and lead the global strategy for Solution Architecture, transforming the function to support implementation and onboarding outcomes across the full customer portfolio.
  • Own implementation performance, including implementation time, quality of delivery, backlog loss, and their impact on Time to Revenue.
  • Use AI as a core lever to redesign processes, knowledge-sharing, tooling, and ways of working across the organization.
  • Build mechanisms, standards, and capabilities that enable customers and systems integrators to implement successfully at scale.
  • Lead and develop regional SA leaders and Individual Contributors, and build a high-performing, collaborative global organization that consistently raises its technical and execution standards.
  • Establish scalable playbooks, architecture standards, operating mechanisms, and best practices that improve consistency and quality across complex commerce implementations.
  • Serve as a senior executive escalation point for critical implementations, navigating difficult customer situations and high-stakes conversations with senior stakeholders.
  • Build trusted relationships with CEOs, CIOs, CTOs, Enterprise Architects, and other senior customer leaders, representing VTEX with credibility in both strategic and deeply technical discussions.
  • Partner closely with Product, Engineering, Customer Success, Sales, and other functions to improve the end-to-end onboarding experience and customer outcomes.

This role requires frequent international travel and regular presence with customers, regional teams, and strategic stakeholders. Whenever not traveling, you are required to attend the New York office four days a week, from Monday to Thursday, with remote work on Fridays.

About the Team

Solution Architecture at VTEX is a global implementation organization responsible for helping enterprise customers design, implement, and scale their commerce operations on the VTEX platform.

The team brings together highly experienced technical professionals across four regions and plays a critical role in implementation quality, customer onboarding, and Time to Revenue.

The next phase for the organization is about scale. We are evolving from a model centered primarily on individual project allocation to one where Solution Architecture creates the standards, mechanisms, knowledge, and capabilities that improve implementation outcomes across the entire customer portfolio.

This role will lead that transformation while continuing to develop a strong technical organization, strengthen regional leadership, and create an environment where highly talented individuals operate as a truly global team.

Who you are
  • You have 15+ years of experience across Solution Architecture, Professional Services, Enterprise Architecture, digital transformation, or similar customer-facing technical organizations.
  • You have significant leadership experience managing and developing senior technical teams and leaders, ideally across multiple regions, and have already operated successfully in a senior leadership role such as Director, VP, or equivalent.
  • You have a strong track record leading organizational transformation and building scalable operating models.
  • You have deep experience with complex enterprise implementations and strong knowledge of architecture, systems integration, APIs, cloud platforms, and modern technology ecosystems.
  • You have demonstrated experience using AI to transform technical organizations, improve efficiency, strengthen solution quality, and accelerate customer outcomes.
  • You have significant experience leading or operating across international markets, with exposure to the United States, Europe, and Latin America.
  • You combine strong technical credibility with exceptional executive presence and are comfortable handling difficult, high-pressure conversations with CEOs, CIOs, CTOs, Enterprise Architects, and other senior stakeholders.
  • You are a strong people leader who can develop leaders and Individual Contributors, raise the performance bar, build motivation, and create a culture of collaboration and shared accountability.
  • You have experience working with systems integrators and understand how to influence external delivery ecosystems through standards, enablement, and scalable mechanisms.
  • You are customer-obsessed, commercially minded, pragmatic, and comfortable moving between executive strategy and hands‑on operational execution.
  • You are fluent in English, comfortable operating in a global environment, and available for frequent international travel.
  • Significant experience with enterprise commerce, e‑commerce platforms, or complex B2B and B2C digital commerce ecosystems.
  • Strong understanding of composable commerce, MACH architecture, and emerging AI‑enabled commerce technologies.
  • Exposure to and knowledge about the VTEX platform.
  • Experience in high-growth or fast‑changing technology companies.
  • An entrepreneurial background, including previous experience as a founder or business owner.
