Job Title

VP, Resolution Management

Summary

This individual is responsible for managing an assigned portfolio of accounts, reviewing loan documentation for errors and omissions, evaluating clients’ financial strength and capacity to repay, and working to reduce the bank’s exposure to loss while maximizing profits.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Reduce the bank’s exposure to loss in commercial loan workouts.
• Develop and implement a plan of action to protect and improve the bank’s position through negotiating repayment schedules, obtaining additional collateral, and/or restructuring loans.
• Analyze financial statements to determine the borrower’s condition and trajectory; make recommendations for additional action.
• Maintain low delinquency ratios in the assigned portfolio.
• Prepare periodic reports to management.
• Review loan documentation, identify errors, and take corrective action.
• Negotiate repayment schedules, forbearance agreements, and settlement agreements.
• Monitor existing loans for compliance with terms and conditions.
• Assist senior lending officers on larger, more complex credits.
• Monitor market conditions and recommend actions to reduce loss and increase profits.
• Assist with management and liquidation of OREO assets.
• Train less experienced staff.
• Perform other duties and projects as assigned.

Qualifications

• Strong commercial credit, financial/analytical, and collateral/assessment capabilities.
• Knowledge of bankruptcy law, related parties, and compliance issues.
• Ability to protect the bank’s interests professionally.
• Adhere to credit policies, maintain required documents, monitor covenant compliance, recommend risk rating changes, and manage loan loss recognition.
• Prioritize tasks and work independently.

Supervisory Responsibilities

• None

Education And/or Experience

• Bachelor’s degree and experience in economics, finance, or accounting.
• Seven or more years in Managed Assets/Commercial Loan Workout and Collections, with extensive asset‑based workout and commercial real‑estate experience.
• Experience resolving workouts for loans ranging from $500,000 to $20 million.
• Experience interacting with outside counsel on workouts.

Computer And Software Skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and Google Suite.
