Job summary

Eli Lilly and Company is seeking a Research Capital and Facilities Leader to shape and execute the operational strategy for research and development initiatives. You will collaborate with scientists, project managers, and external partners to drive capital planning, asset management, and long-range facilities strategy.

The role requires senior leadership experience, strong communication, and the ability to influence across a matrix organization while aligning capital investments with company

Qualifications

• Advanced degree (M.S., MBA or equivalent) in science with relevant business or scientific discipline.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in (capital) project management, research operations, leadership and strategic planning.
• Project management experience, with experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic plans for research operations, aligning with the company’s overall goals and objectives.
• Oversee the planning, execution, and monitoring of capital projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
• Identify and mitigate risks associated with capital plans and facilities management, implementing best practices and process improvements in collaboration with key stakeholders, including scientists, project managers, and external partners.
• Engage in acquisition activities driving efficient integration
• Monitor industry trends and advancements, integrating relevant innovations into the company’s research operations strategy.
• Work closely with research operations leaders.
