Job summary

Monroe Capital is seeking a highly driven Vice President to lead value creation across our portfolio from Chicago, IL. This hands-on role partners with management teams and boards to accelerate growth, improve profitability, and enhance cash flow through strategic and operational initiatives.

You will develop financial models, KPI dashboards, and performance tracking, recruit and mentor portfolio executives, and report progress to leadership and investment committees.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience, including at least 3 years in private equity or principal investing.
• Proven track record leading operational transformations, carve-outs, or turnaround initiatives.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building with boards and investors.

Responsibilities

• Partner with management teams to design and execute strategic and operational value-creation plans.
• Lead initiatives delivering EBITDA and cash-flow improvements across portfolio companies.
• Develop and monitor detailed financial models, KPI dashboards, and performance tracking systems.
• Recruit, onboard, and mentor portfolio executives and operational leaders.
• Provide structured updates to Monroe’s leadership and investment committees, ensuring visibility into progress and outcomes.
