  • Perform independent credit analysis and risk assessment of existing credit requests, preparing analyses of financial statements and other third‑party reports such as property appraisals.
  • Prepare comprehensive credit packages and presentations for review by a credit administrator and transactional credit commitment, detailing the financial analysis, risk assessment, and recommendation for loan structure.
  • Develop detailed financial models to forecast future cash flows and stress‑test the borrower’s ability to service debt under various economic scenarios.
  • Analyze key financial metrics such as EBITDA, leverage ratios, fixed‑charge coverage ratios, and working‑capital cycles.
  • Analyze collateral quality, lien position, and personal guarantees from business owners, sponsors, and/or operators.
  • Collaborate with the Relationship Manager to review loan documents prepared by outside law firms or in‑house counsel.
  • Work with the Loan Administration team to obtain due diligence information needed to underwrite the credit request, perform risk rating reviews, and monitor covenant compliance.
  • Review Letters of Interest (LOI) and ensure consistency between loan documents and the credit administration model.
  • Travel to support client relationships with the Relationship Manager when necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, policies, and procedures, staying current with banking regulation and completing required training courses on time.
  • Possess intermediate knowledge of appraisals, borrowing base reports, and collateral exams.
  • Complete Problem Loan Status Reports (PLSRs) with guidance from management.
  • Provide ongoing monitoring of the borrower’s financial health, collecting and reviewing periodic financial statements, and proactively identifying potential risks or signs of default.
  • Participate in interviewing and hiring decisions.
  • Prepare and deliver employee performance evaluations, goal planning, and counseling.
  • Manage, support, coach, and train employees.
  • Follow all established policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
What You’ll Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, or a related field and/or relevant work experience. Formal credit training and/or Intermediate/Financial Accounting 1 and 2 preferred.

  • Working knowledge of the bank’s loan policies and standards.
  • Strong skills in computer operations and Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); IBS and Ncino are a plus.
  • Advanced math skills: calculating interest, percentages, balances, and rates; drafting and interpreting bar graphs.
  • Effective organizational and time‑management skills in a fast‑paced environment.
