Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline required; advanced degree preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive software engineering leadership experience, including leadership of large-scale engineering organizations and senior technology leaders.
• Proven track record bringing complex regulated software products from concept and development through verification, validation, regulatory approval, commercialization, and post-market support.
• Deep expertise in FDA software regulations, IEC 62304, ISO 13485, and medical device quality systems, with a strong understanding of applying these requirements within modern software development environments.
• Experience leading complex, matrixed software engineering organizations through periods of growth, transformation, organizational change, and technology modernization.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end software engineering execution across clinical, patient-facing, platform, and device-integrated software systems within a highly regulated SaMD environment.
• Establish and evolve engineering operating systems, governance frameworks, and development practices for disciplined planning and predictable delivery.
• Champion continuous improvement to enhance velocity, quality, release confidence, reliability, and customer outcomes.
• Ensure lifecycle processes meet regulatory, compliance, and quality standards including FDA, IEC 62304, ISO 13485, cybersecurity, and QMS requirements.
• Translate complex technical concepts and risks into clear insights for executive leadership and stakeholders.
• Advance engineering capabilities through scalable CI/CD, automation, and enablement tools in regulated medical tech.
• Lead governance of AI-assisted software development to accelerate innovation and reduce delivery risk.
• Establish a metrics-driven culture using operational and quality indicators for transparency and decision making.
