Alexander Chapman is seeking a Vice President of Credit to lead underwriting, structuring, and risk management for private credit and asset-based lending transactions in New York. The role entails ownership across the deal lifecycle and close collaboration with senior investment professionals.

You will evaluate borrower financials, build models, and structure terms while guiding a team of credit professionals to deliver investment recommendations to senior management.

Qualifications

• Strong credit underwriting and financial analysis skills.
• Experience with loan documentation, covenants, and structuring.
• Ability to manage complex transactions from underwriting through closing.

Responsibilities

• Lead underwriting and due diligence across private credit and asset-based lending.
• Evaluate borrower financials, cash flows, and collateral.
• Build and review financial models to assess risk and returns.
• Structure deal terms including covenants and concentration limits.
• Prepare credit memos and investment recommendations for committees.
• Oversee portfolio monitoring and stress testing.
• Collaborate with legal, investors and internal teams throughout deal lifecycle.
• Manage and develop Analysts and Associates.
