Description
Position Summary

We are seeking a VP of Giftcare to serve as the executive owner of Gifthealth’s GLP-1 telehealth program. Giftcare is one of Gifthealth’s largest and highest-visibility programs, and this leader will own its strategy, scale, and day-to-day performance following launch, including the clinical partnership with SteadyMD, the end-to-end patient journey, and the operational metrics that determine whether patients start and stay on treatment. This role carries full accountability for the program: setting its strategic direction, building and leading the team required to run and scale it, and representing Giftcare at the executive level across Gifthealth and with external partners, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, operational excellence, and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Executive Ownership: Serve as the executive owner of Giftcare, accountable for its strategy, performance, and growth as one of Gifthealth’s most significant programs.
  • Strategic Oversight & Scale: Own strategic oversight of Giftcare from implementation through launch and into scale, translating leadership’s vision into an operating plan that can support significant growth in patient volume.
  • Clinical Partnership Ownership: Serve as the primary owner of the clinical partnership with SteadyMD and the broader prescriber network, managing performance, executive-level escalations, and a joint operating cadence with partner leadership.
  • End-to-End Patient Journey Ownership: Own the end-to-end patient journey, from intake through the prescription journey to ongoing adherence, ensuring a seamless and compliant experience at every step.
  • Operational Performance & Metrics: Define, track, and continuously improve the operational metrics that determine whether patients start and stay on treatment, reporting program health directly to executive leadership.
  • Compliance Oversight: Ensure compliance with state-specific telehealth regulations and manage prior authorization (PA) workflows across a scaling program footprint.
  • Team Building & Leadership: Build, lead, and develop the Giftcare team as the program scales, hiring and developing managers and directors to own day-to-day execution.
  • Cross-Functional & Executive Alignment: Partner cross-functionally with product, clinical, compliance, and customer support leadership to resolve operational issues and improve the patient experience; represent Giftcare in executive forums and align it with company-wide strategic priorities.
  • Reporting & Executive Communication: Report on program performance, risks, and opportunities directly to Gifthealth’s senior leadership team.
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree required, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Licensure/Certification: Not required. Familiarity with healthcare regulatory and compliance frameworks is preferred.
  • Experience: 10+ years of experience in healthcare operations, digital health, or telehealth, including significant experience managing a clinical vendor or provider group relationship (not just a software vendor), and 4+ years in a VP, senior director, or equivalent executive leadership role, ideally scaling a high-growth program or business line.
Skills
  • Demonstrated experience managing a clinical vendor or provider group relationship, not just a software vendor.
  • Strong working knowledge of state telehealth regulations and prior authorization (PA) workflows.
  • Comfort operating in a compliance-driven healthcare environment.
  • Proven ability to build and lead teams through significant growth, and to drive performance across distributed or cross-functional groups.
  • Strong understanding of the GLP-1 prescription journey or specialty pharmacy operations. (Preferred, not required.)
  • Excellent executive-level leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to represent the program credibly with senior internal and external audiences.
  • Demonstrated application of the above qualifications.
Desired Attributes
  • Operates comfortably at both the strategic and execution altitude, setting direction and rolling up sleeves when needed, especially as the program scales.
  • Bias toward action, balanced with rigor around compliance and patient safety.
  • Strong executive presence; represents Giftcare credibly with senior internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong relationship-management instincts with external clinical partners.
  • Patient-centric mindset, genuinely invested in helping people start and stay on treatment.
  • Builds and develops high-performing teams, delegating real ownership while staying close enough to step in when it matters.
