Job summary

PRI Technology in Houston seeks a VP, Finance Planning & Analysis to lead IT financial strategy, budgets, forecasts and ROI for technology initiatives. The role reports to the CFO and serves as the primary thought leader on financial planning.

This onsite position requires 8+ years in Finance or IT Financial Management, proficiency with Onestream, SAP or Oracle Financials, and a proven ability to build robust financial models and partner with business leaders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution.
• 8 years Finance or IT Financial Management experience in diverse environments.
• Proficiency with Onestream, SAP or Oracle Financials.
• Technology/Information Systems Management preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Experience in managing technology financial analysis and budgeting.
• Ability to develop project plans with minimal supervision.

I have a full time opportunity for an VP, Finance Planning & Analysis for one of our top tier clients in Houston. This role will report directly to the CFO and be his primary thought leader

This is onsite 3 days a week in Houston, TX

Responsibilities:

• Developing and maintaining an Business Management framework and policies to ensure the effective alignment of IT Financials to IT delivery and business objectives.
• Work with company leadership and the Finance organization to develop and maintain budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.
• Work with company leaders and Finance organization to perform and understand monthly financial variances and conduct analysis on main drivers.
• Work with leadership and the Finance organization to develop and maintain budgets, forecasts, and financial plans. This role requires a strong emphasis on building and maintaining financial plans and models
• Manage, monitor and analyze cost including hardware, software, personnel, 3rd party labor, and other specific expenditures to align with business needs and adhere to budgetary constraints.
• Identify opportunities to optimize IT spending and drive cost-saving initiatives/programs without compromising service quality or business objectives.
• Work with the Cost Transparency team which organizes expenses into cost pools, working to a bill and service costing model.
• Monitor and report on financial performance metrics and KPIs which are benchmarked, drive them with IT leadership to optimal levels.
• Work with the Portfolio management team to cost projects, on-going cost to services and return on investment (ROI). Measures realization of ROI within the company.
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to IT leadership and business stakeholders to support strategic decision-making.
• Manage the financial analysis and modeling to support business cases for investments, projects, and initiatives.
• Stay informed about industry best practices and trends in financial management and leverage this knowledge to drive continuous improvement.
• Contribute to a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
• 8 years Finance or IT Financial Management professional experience in a private, public, government or military environment.
• Proficiency in financial management tools such as Onestream, SAP, or Oracle Financials.
• Technology / Information Systems Management preferred
• Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
• Experience with managing Technology financial analysis, budgeting
• Proven ability to develop and exercise project plans with minimal supervision
• A quick learner, detail oriented, organized, strong problem-solving skills and collaboration across teams, functions and organizations
