Job description

About this position

Job Purpose

Lead finance for the network of manufacturing plants across the organization, encompassing plant operations, supply chain, and procurement. Build best-in-class financial support for manufacturing operations, elevate the quality and speed of reporting and insights delivered to plant and enterprise leadership, and lead a large team of finance professionals embedded across plants and central operations. Work in extensive partnership with the Senior Leadership Team to drive financial rigor, operational insight, and value creation across the plant network.

Essential Functions
  • o Serve as the senior finance leader for all manufacturing plants, providing strategic and operational financial leadership across the network
  • o Partner directly with the EVP of Operations and plant managers to align financial performance with operational goals and enterprise strategy
  • o Own the financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting process for all plant operations, ensuring alignment with the AOP and forecast cycles
  • o Drive standardization of financial processes, controls, and reporting practices across all plants to ensure consistency and comparability
  • o Standardize KPIs and performance metrics across the plant network, prioritizing the levers with the greatest impact on business performance, enabling consistent measurement, benchmarking, and decision-making across sites
  • o Lead monthly and quarterly business reviews with plant leadership, providing clear visibility into cost, productivity, and margin performance
  • Supply Chain and Procurement Finance
  • o Provide finance leadership and decision support for supply chain functions, including logistics, distribution, and inventory management
  • o Partner with the procurement organization to evaluate supplier contracts, input cost trends, and sourcing decisions, ensuring financial rigor is embedded in procurement strategy
  • o Build financial models to evaluate make versus buy decisions, network optimization, and capital investment opportunities across the supply chain
  • o Support commodity and input cost risk management, working closely with procurement and operations to quantify and mitigate exposure
  • Cost Optimization and Productivity
  • o Identify, quantify, and drive cost optimization opportunities across the manufacturing network, including labor productivity, waste reduction, freight, and overhead
  • o Partner with operations leadership to build and track productivity pipelines, ensuring savings are captured, validated, and reflected in financial results
  • o Lead capital planning and return on investment analysis for plant capital expenditures, ensuring disciplined prioritization of capital across the network
  • o Champion continuous improvement initiatives, bringing a rigorous financial lens to operational efficiency programs across plants
  • Reporting Enhancement and Insights Delivery
  • o Redesign and elevate plant-level and network-level financial reporting, moving from static, backward-looking reports to dynamic, insight-driven dashboards
  • o Partner closely with IT, Financial Information Systems, and Finance Transformation teams to define reporting requirements and modernize reporting infrastructure, improve data quality, and reduce manual reporting effort
  • o Develop and standardize leading indicator metrics and KPIs across the plant network, focused on the levers that most directly drive business performance, enabling plant and enterprise leadership to proactively manage performance rather than react to lagging results
  • o Deliver clear, actionable insights to the Senior Leadership Team and the Board, translating complex operational and financial data into strategic recommendations
  • o Establish a consistent cadence of reporting and business reviews that connects plant-level performance to enterprise-level financial outcomes
  • o Establish a monthly cadence of analysis and recommended actions for plant leadership, translating financial and operational data into clear, decision-ready recommendations that improve business decisions
  • Team Leadership and Talent Development
  • o Lead, develop, and grow a large team of finance associates located across plants and the central finance organization
  • o Build a strong talent pipeline for plant finance roles, including succession planning for plant controller positions
  • o Establish clear expectations, development plans, and performance management practices for the team to foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
  • o Hold plant controllers accountable to clearly defined expectations and standard work, while equipping plant managers with the visibility and tools needed to reinforce that accountability at the site level, ensuring uniform delivery across the network
  • o Serve as a mentor and coach to team members, elevating the overall capability and business partnering skills of the plant finance organization
  • o Build strong, trusted relationships with the Senior Leadership Team, serving as a strategic finance partner beyond the operations function
  • o Partner with Corporate FP&A, Commercial Finance, and Accounting to ensure alignment between plant-level financial performance and enterprise reporting
  • o Represent Finance in cross-functional operations, supply chain, and procurement initiatives, ensuring financial considerations are embedded early in decision-making
  • o Support integration activities as the company continues to grow through acquisition, including harmonizing plant finance processes for newly acquired facilities
  • Support food safety program, quality standards, and legality of manufactured products
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned

  • Strong experience partnering with supply chain and procurement organizations, with a solid understanding of logistics, inventory, and sourcing dynamics
  • Experience driving reporting transformation, systems enhancement, or finance modernization initiatives preferred
