Wealth Management Corp. in Tallahassee seeks a VP of Engineering to own Laravel initiatives and drive high-impact technical decisions.

You’ll mentor engineers, lead architecture discussions, and coordinate testing and deployment across gRPC, MongoDB, and Laravel caching to handle launch spikes. Remote role with tight collaboration across a small team; you’ll be measured by a clear VP bar and expected to present to stakeholders across Florida.

Qualifications

• Willingness to commute to Tallahassee, FL or work flexibly as needed.
• Comfort being measured against a clear vp bar.
• VP mastery of Change Management, validated by people who'd hire you again.
• Comfort presenting to a FL-wide audience without a script.
• Comfortable owning projects from concept through delivery.
• Hands-on command of Change Management, with Kotlin as a close second.
• Resilience measured across 13 years of technology cycles.

Responsibilities

• Sit with technology users in Tallahassee to learn what the Express.js tool really needs
• Wire up gRPC feature flags so Wealth Management Corp can test on Tallahassee traffic risk-free
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a strong code-review culture
• Backfill Stakeholder Management test coverage on the riskiest corners of Wealth Management Corp's codebase
• Tune Laravel caching so Wealth Management Corp survives the Tallahassee launch spike on the same hardware
• Containerize applications and manage deployments with gRPC and MongoDB
