The Colorectal Cancer Alliance is a national nonprofit organization committed to ending colorectal cancer within our lifetime. We help patients, families, survivors, and caregivers navigate diagnosis and treatment options, connect them with those who can share experiences and knowledge, and identify resources to meet their needs. We partner with healthcare professionals and social influencers to raise awareness of preventative screening, and we collaborate with researchers to better understand the disease and fund critical research. Position overview
A senior-level position responsible for overseeing all aspects of the organization's Corporate Partnerships strategy, implementation, and results. They will drive and achieve short-term and long-term partnership goals by securing new industry and non-industry partnerships, diversifying the organization’s corporate partnerships portfolio, and strengthening relationships with existing partners. They will work closely with the CDO, other corporate partnerships team members and all senior level leaders across the Alliance to develop comprehensive strategies and new funding opportunities that will attract and maximize support from corporate partners. They will also build and manage a portfolio of key partners while providing strategic guidance and support to team members to grow their own portfolios.
Position responsibilities
- Develop strategic plans to achieve the Corporate Partnerships team’s revenue growth goals through the acquisition of new corporate partnerships, diversification of the corporate partnerships’ portfolio, and strong partner engagement and relationship building.
- Identify, engage, and secure five figure level and above new industry and non-industry corporate partners through customized outreach strategies and proposal development.
- Develop and execute a customized strategy to solicit and secure sponsorships from consumer brands and corporate donors within and outside of the colorectal cancer space in support of the Lead From Behind (LFB) awareness campaign that advances the Alliance’s life-saving mission. Develop win-win solutions that achieve the LFB campaign goals, while successfully positioning the sponsors brands in ways that advance their marketing and CSR objectives.
- Design and execute prospect outreach and engagement strategies that build their own and their team members portfolios.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and implement strategies and funding opportunities that will facilitate securing new corporate partnerships.
- Cultivate strong relationships with corporate partners through the successful fulfillment of partnership deliverables, timely reporting on the impact of their contribution(s), updates on the advancement of the Alliance’s mission, and periodic meetings.
- Build partnerships with the Alliance’s Mission Delivery Team leaders to develop sellable assets that support the organization’s strategic priorities and growth strategy, and position the organization as an innovative and entrepreneurial leader in the colorectal cancer space.
- Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders in the execution of partner deliverables.
- Provide thought leadership to the CDO and the development leaders around new approaches to fundraising.
- Directly manage Corporate Partnerships team members, providing clear goals, regular feedback, growth opportunities, and accountability.
- Stay current on trends and best practices in corporate partnerships, sponsorships, foundation grants, and cause marketing.
- Develop and manage in-kind and workplace giving donor opportunities and develop a strategy and plans to cultivate engagement and support.
- Develop and track annual goals, objectives, and specific KPI metrics for Corporate Partnerships.
- Ensure accurate use of Salesforce and fundraising platforms to maintain data integrity and improve partner stewardship.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of senior level Corporate Partnerships experience with proven performance in broadening corporate partners portfolios and exceeding revenue goals.
- Experience creating budgets, forecasting revenue, and building strategic plans.
- Proficient with fundraising applications and CRM databases; with particularly utilization for efficient and effective management of partner relationships and engagement, and pipeline management.
- Strong creative and strategic thinker with the ability to develop customized “win-win” partner engagement strategies and proposals.
- Experience supervising and managing a team with demonstrated ability to work collaboratively, delegate responsibility, and inspire, engage and motivate staff.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Salary range: Competitive non-profit salary, typically ranging from $160,000-$180,000, based on experience and qualifications.
