Job summary

Alpha is building a national network of AI-driven schools to compress learning time and scale openings with precision. The VP of Construction Management will own full lifecycle expansion from site selection to opening, driving timelines, costs, and vendor relations.

Travel up to 60% to active US school sites is required. This role is full-time with benefits and a focus on eliminating friction at scale.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading real estate development or construction projects from site selection through opening with full ownership.
• Experience managing multiple concurrent builds with timelines, coordination, and issue resolution.
• Fluency in zoning, permitting, construction, and vendor coordination with GCs, architects, and regulators.
• Ability to make tradeoff decisions across cost, timeline, and feasibility with measurable outcomes.
• Experience structuring complex workflows (permitting, design coordination, construction execution).
• Willingness to travel up to 60% to active school sites in the US.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end expansion of new school locations delivering fully operational campuses on predictable timelines.
• Lead vendor selection, RFPs, and contract negotiations focusing on speed, quality, and cost control.
• Decompose expansion workflows into defined work units and build AI-driven systems to compress timelines.
• Coordinate with construction managers, resolve blockers, ensure on-time openings.
• Develop capital project proposals aligning stakeholders on scope and cost.
