Job summary

Sanofi Morristown is seeking a highly experienced Head of Epidemiology and Benefit-Risk (Epi & BR) to lead strategic safety science activities across product life cycles. This role combines scientific leadership with cross-functional collaboration with regulatory, medical affairs, and quality.

You will drive innovative methods, oversee BR studies, and partner with external stakeholders to shape safety policies while ensuring regulatory compliance and robust decision-making.

Qualifications

• PhD or MD with advanced degree preferred in biomedical fields.
• 15+ years in Epidemiology/Benefit-Risk Evaluation with PhD.
• 12+ years in Epidemiology with MD degree.
• 8+ years in pharma industry preferred.
• Experience leading external partnerships.
• Publication track record in scientific journals.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Provide BR strategies for safety across all GBUs in lifecycle.
• Lead epidemiology safety studies (PASS) and BR risk assessments.
• Support Chief Safety Officer in BR strategy and PSPV vision.
• Lead and manage Epi & BR team including budget and development.
• Lead external partnerships and shape policies with regulators.
• Represent Sanofi in external collaborations and forums.
• Develop rapid access and analysis strategy for real-world data.
