Job summary

Scorpion Therapeutics is seeking a Vice President of Medical Affairs to lead global medical strategy and build a high-performing team in oncology and genomics diagnostics. You will serve as external spokesperson and shape scientific communications across geographies.

Role

Vice President, Medical Affairs leading global medical strategy and team within a biopharma focused on oncology and genomics diagnostics.


Responsibilities


  • oversee medical affairs functions including strategy development, external communications, KOL engagement, clinical and research implementation, and lifecycle management;

  • serve as external spokesperson;

  • collaborate with cross-functional teams (Commercial, Regulatory, Market Access, Communications);

  • ensure compliance, ethical standards, and high-quality scientific content;

  • build and maintain relationships with KOLs and external stakeholders;

  • lead team development and manage budgets.


Requirements


  • MD with oncology, genomics, or quantitative science background;

  • 10+ years in medical or scientific roles, with 5+ years in field medical;

  • strong leadership and team management skills across multiple countries;

  • experience in clinical trials, data analysis, and scientific communication;

  • understanding of drug discovery, development, and commercialization process.


Preferred


  • PhD in relevant fields;

  • extensive network in oncology, biotech, diagnostics;

  • experience in multi-cultural team leadership;

  • knowledge of HIPAA and patient data privacy.
