PENNYMAC, a leading mortgage services firm, seeks a Vice President Investor Accounting in Carrollton, TX. You will oversee accounting, reporting, and reconciliations for investors and build a controlled environment to deliver accurate monthly ratings and strong audit outcomes.

You will lead bank reconciliations, manage offshore relationships, ensure audit readiness, and collaborate with Treasury and Loan Servicing to resolve complex movements and optimize cash flow.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience is required.
  • 7+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Hands-on experience with residential mortgage servicing, including bank reconciliations and loan research.
  • Strong analytical, oral, and written communication skills; proficient in Excel and Word.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Bank Reconciliation team for the growing subservicing portfolio.
  • Act as primary executive lead for offshore relationships and ensure SLAs are met.
  • Oversee a robust controlled environment; ensure reconciliations and reporting meet high audit standards.
  • Partner with Treasury, Investor Reporting, and Loan Servicing to resolve complex financial movements.
  • Review portfolio health; quantify over/short positions and manage cash aging items.
  • Perform other related duties and demonstrate the company values.

A Typical Day

The Vice President Investor Accounting is responsible for the accounting, reporting, reconciling and remitting for investors of the company. As the VP, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining a controlled environment and delivering superior investor ratings on a monthly basis and high audit scores on reviews performed by government agencies and internal/external auditors.

The VP Investor Accounting will:

  • Lead the Bank Reconciliation team in managing the complexities of a rapidly growing subservicing portfolio.
  • Act as the primary executive lead for offshore relationships, ensuring service providers meet rigorous SLAs and scale effectively with company growth.
  • Oversee the maintenance of a robust controlled environment, ensuring all reconciliations and reporting meet the highest standards for government agencies and internal/external auditors.
  • Partner with Treasury, Investor Reporting, and Loan Servicing executives to resolve complex financial movements and optimize aging item resolution.
  • Review high-level portfolio health, quantifying over/shortage positions and ensuring proactive cash control management.
  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned

Compensation:

Individual salary may vary based on multiple factors including specific role, geographic location / market data, and skills and experience as defined below:

  • Lower in range - Building skills and experience in the role
  • Mid-range - Experience and skills align with proficiency in the role
  • Higher in range - Experience and skills add value above typical requirements of the role

Some roles may be eligible for performance-based compensation and/or stock-based incentives awarded to employees based on company and individual performance.
