Rahr Corporation is looking for a Vice President of Information Technology of Info to join our team in Shakopee Minnesota. The Vice President of Information Technology provides strategic and operational leadership to ensure technology effectively enables the company’s growth, performance, and innovation objectives. This role is responsible for aligning the technology vision with enterprise priorities, guiding cross-functional collaboration, and championing forward-thinking solutions that support the evolving needs of the business. The role oversees the development and delivery of enterprise applications as well as operational infrastructure that drive efficiency, scalability, and user engagement. As a member of the executive leadership team, the Vice President fosters strong internal partnerships, drives enterprise alignment, and leads with a focus on value creation, resilience, and continuous improvement.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Provide executive leadership for the stability, performance, and resilience of enterprise-wide IT infrastructure, networks, business systems, and applications.
  • Provide executive oversight of enterprise application development and architecture, ensuring all custom and third‑party solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with business priorities.
  • Oversee the build‑out and modernization of enterprise platforms through initiatives such as cloud migration, automation, AI and integration of emerging technologies.
  • Lead the development and execution of robust disaster recovery, business continuity, and incident response strategies to ensure operational integrity across all functions.
  • Oversee the design, implementation, and optimization of enterprise infrastructure to ensure it is scalable, secure, resilient, and aligned with current and future business needs.
  • Lead the evaluation, selection, and implementation of enterprise systems and platforms that enhance operational effectiveness, user experience, and customer value.
  • Establish and maintain IT governance policies and internal controls to support risk management, data protection, and regulatory compliance across jurisdictions.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive, forward‑looking cybersecurity framework that protects enterprise systems, data, and intellectual property while ensuring compliance with evolving regulatory requirements.
  • Define the long‑term technology roadmap aligned with strategic business goals, ensuring the agility and scalability of systems to meet future demands.
  • Partner with the CEO, COO, CFO, and other senior executives to integrate technology into enterprise strategy and guide technology‑related decisions across the business.
  • Drive the successful execution of complex, cross‑functional technology initiatives by aligning priorities, securing stakeholder buy‑in, and ensuring on‑time delivery.
  • Build and lead a high‑performing IT organization, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, service excellence, and continuous learning.
  • Attract, develop, and retain top technology talent across infrastructure, cybersecurity, architecture, and applications.
  • Implement performance management and professional development strategies that support leadership growth, succession planning, and evolving enterprise needs.
  • Oversee IT vendor relationships, including contract negotiation, service‑level management, and performance oversight to ensure value and operational effectiveness.
  • Develop and manage annual and multi‑year IT budgets, ensuring responsible investment in technology initiatives that align with business objectives and deliver measurable ROI.
  • Provide clear and consistent communication to senior leadership and the Board regarding technology strategy, program delivery, risk posture, and organizational impact.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support the company’s goals and objectives.
MINIMUM EDUCATION & WORK REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Business, Engineering or relevant field from an accredited University.
  • MS, MBA or related advanced degree is preferred.
  • 5 or more years of directly leading an IT group of software developers, business analysts and/or technical & network support employees.
  • 12 or more years of progressive combined experience in software development, ERP project(s) management, complex network business technology solutions, process development and resource management in corporate IT or IT consulting environment.
  • Experience working in a business to business, manufacturing, or logistics environment highly preferred.
  • Strong personal expertise and skills in an IT function category – e.g. hardware/network administration, cyber‑security, ERP implementation and management, software solutions development, e‑commerce development and management.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
  • Proven experience as Vice President, IT and/or CIO management role.
  • Strong communication skills (writing, speaking, and presenting). Able to readily communicate technical or complex subject matter in business terms.
  • Solid understanding of data analysis, budgeting and business operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to foster a culture of transparency and a sense of purpose among the team and create clear accountability and metrics within a variety of technological functions.
  • A strong strategic and business mindset. Demonstrated acumen and passion for both business and technology, including the latest digital innovations as they apply to the creation of business value.
  • Expertise managing information technology systems and/or application development at scale within a large enterprise‑wide organization, with experience across various SDLC methodologies.
  • Experience successfully negotiating million‑dollar vendor agreements, interfacing with ISVs and establishing company service requirements with Tier 1 technology and software providers.
  • Experience in the following areas: Customer Relationship Management (SalesForce.com), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Enterprise Performance Management (EPM), Cybersecurity, Business Intelligence (BI) and Human Capital Management (HCM).
  • Skilled at setting and communicating priorities effectively; able to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Ability to step into projects already in progress, or in need of rescue, and effectively assume a leadership role. Accepts ownership and welcomes responsibility.
  • Skilled at removing barriers and acting with a sense of urgency and encouraging others to do so.
  • Demonstrated ability to attract, develop and retain talent and build high performing information technology teams.
  • Deep knowledge of system architecture, technical design, and system and software development technology.
  • Skilled at conflict resolution and problem‑solving to achieve win‑win outcomes.
  • Visible leadership skills and executive presence.
