Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Senior Information Security leader in Madison to drive a practical, multi-year security program aligned with global business goals. You will partner with Privacy, Compliance, and Legal, translate risks for executives, and mentor teams across threat detection, vulnerability management, and ransomware defense.

The role requires deep regulatory knowledge (GLBA, FTC Safeguards), strong cloud security experience (Azure/AWS), and a CISSP certification, with a Master’s degree

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in Information Security.
• 5+ years in a senior leadership role guiding security engineering or operations for a mid-to-large organization (2,000+ users).
• Strong working knowledge of GLBA, FTC Safeguards Rule, and financial sector privacy regulations.
• Hands‑on familiarity with cloud security architecture (Azure/AWS).

Responsibilities

• Design and drive a multi-year security roadmap aligned with global business goals.
• Partner with Privacy, Compliance, and Legal to implement automated controls meeting GLBA, FTC Safeguards, and state privacy requirements.
• Mature security governance and translate technical risks into actionable leadership insights.
• Guide and mentor teams handling threat detection, vulnerability management, and ransomware defense.
• Lead cross-functional incident response drills and tabletop exercises.
• Champion Security by Design across Azure and AWS cloud ecosystems.
• Shape third-party risk management programs with procurement to ensure data protection without bottlenecks.
