This is where your work makes a difference. At Baxter, we believe every person—regardless of who they are or where they are from—deserves a chance to live a healthy life. It was our founding belief in 1931 and continues to be our guiding principle. We are redefining healthcare delivery to make a greater impact today, tomorrow, and beyond. Our Baxter colleagues are united by our Mission to Save and Sustain Lives. Together, our community is driven by a culture of courage, trust, and collaboration. Every individual is empowered to take ownership and make a meaningful impact. We strive for efficient and effective operations, and we hold each other accountable for delivering exceptional results. Here, you will find more than just a job—you will find purpose and pride. At Baxter, the quality of our products and the strength of our regulatory practices directly support the patients and clinicians who rely on us.

As Vice President, Global Quality & Regulatory Excellence, you will shape how Baxter anticipates risk, strengthens operational performance, and uses data, technology and innovation to advance quality worldwide. Based in Deerfield, Illinois, you will influence enterprise strategy and help build the capabilities that will define Baxter’s future.

Your Role at Baxter

You will lead the strategy connecting quality excellence, operational quality, regulatory resilience, enterprise risk, data and analytics, and responsible artificial intelligence. Working closely with the senior Quality leadership team and leaders across Baxter, you will translate emerging regulatory, technology and business trends into decisions that protect patients, strengthen product availability and quality, and support sustainable growth. Your impact will extend across Baxter’s businesses, manufacturing network and global quality systems. You will guide enterprise priorities, investments and transformation initiatives while building scalable capabilities that improve performance and strengthen regulatory confidence. Success will be reflected in early identification of risk, stronger operational and process performance, disciplined investment decisions, effective governance, responsible innovation, and quality capabilities built to deliver lasting business and patient impact.

What You'll Be Doing

Shape Baxter’s multi-year strategy for quality excellence, operational quality, regulatory resilience, enterprise risk, data, analytics and responsible AI, aligning priorities with patient needs and business strategy. Strengthen operational quality across manufacturing sites, product platforms, supply networks and quality systems by identifying systemic opportunities and driving improvements in reliability, compliance and product availability. Lead enterprise quality transformation and targeted interventions, focusing expertise and investment where they can create the greatest patient, regulatory and business value and scaling successful approaches across Baxter. Advance Baxter’s digital quality and analytics strategy by prioritizing scalable technology, automation and AI capabilities that improve insight, decision-making and organizational performance while maintaining appropriate governance and human oversight. Anticipate changes in U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and global health authority expectations, translating external developments into proactive regulatory strategies, preparedness priorities and enterprise decisions. Guide enterprise risk, operating-plan and capital-investment decisions by connecting quality and regulatory priorities with patient and product risk, resilience, financial stewardship and long-term value. Build a strong global leadership and talent pipeline, developing the capabilities Baxter will need across operational quality, strategic risk, data, technology and transformation while creating alignment across businesses, functions and geographies.

What You'll Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Microbiology, Chemistry, Quality, Regulatory Affairs, Data Science, Business, or a related discipline.
  • At least 18 years of progressive leadership experience, including significant executive responsibility in Quality, Regulatory Affairs, Compliance, Manufacturing, Operations, Enterprise Risk, Digital Transformation, or a related discipline within medical device, pharmaceutical, healthcare, or another highly regulated industry.
  • Demonstrated success at the Vice President or comparable enterprise level, setting strategy and leading transformation across a complex global organization with measurable patient, regulatory, operational, financial and organizational impact.
  • Deep operational quality experience spanning manufacturing, supply chain, product lifecycle, quality systems, inspection readiness, remediation and continuous improvement, together with experience engaging the FDA and other global health authorities.
  • Experience leading significant operating budgets and influencing capital investment, resource allocation, business cases and investment priorities.
  • Ability to advise senior executives and communicate complex quality, regulatory, operational and risk considerations clearly to executive and Board-level audiences.
  • Demonstrated success leading across organizational boundaries, building strong leadership capability and using data, analytics and external insights to improve strategic decision-making.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced degree such as an MBA, MS, PhD or PharmD.
  • Executive education or recognized certification in enterprise risk management, data analytics, artificial intelligence, digital transformation or quality leadership.
  • Experience as an enterprise Quality or Regulatory executive, Site Quality Head, senior Operations leader, or comparable global technical leader with broad business and financial accountability.
