Job summary

Morgan Stanley is seeking an experienced Vice President Tester to join the Global Financial Crimes (GFC) Testing team, focusing on Crypto & Digital Assets. You will evaluate control effectiveness, identify risk themes, and enhance the firm’s financial crimes program while collaborating with multiple stakeholders.

Lead risk-based reviews across AML, Sanctions, Anti-Corruption, and Government/Political Activities, including exposure to crypto risk.

Qualifications

8+ years of relevant experience in financial crimes compliance, audit, assurance, or testing.
Hands-on experience with crypto and digital assets risk, controls, or monitoring.
Bachelor's degree with strong credentials; ACAMS or equivalent certification preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead risk-based reviews across AML, Sanctions, Anti-Corruption, and Government/Political Activities.
Incorporate crypto and digital asset controls into testing plans.
Collaborate with teams to develop test scopes, walkthroughs, and detailed steps.
Assess design and operational effectiveness of controls across first, second, and third lines of defense.
Execute and oversee all phases of the review lifecycle; guide junior testers.
Communicate test results and recommendations to stakeholders and senior management.
Support remediation tracking and verification of corrective actions.
Maintain documentation aligned to Firm standards and audit readiness.
Promote alignment across Compliance Monitoring & Testing and Internal Audit.
Stay current on regulatory developments and industry best practices.
