Job summary

The Goldman Sachs Group in New York is seeking a Vice President to join its Funding Execution team within Corporate Treasury. The role focuses on pricing and risk management of external secured and unsecured funding structures, and on optimizing the firm’s capital and liquidity metrics.

The VP will collaborate with Structuring, Technology, Strats, Sales and Trading to deliver financing solutions, manage funding risks, and contribute to a diversified funding footprint across global markets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 6+ years of trading and/or risk management experience in funding or rates.
• Strong understanding of funding markets (repos, lending, derivative funding).
• Ability to analyze complex transactions and exercise independent judgement.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Execute and price secured and unsecured, structured and vanilla funding transactions across the firm's liability spectrum.
• Partner with Structuring, Technology, Strats, Sales and Trading to deliver financing solutions for clients while expanding and diversifying the firm's funding franchise.
• Generate and implement trade ideas that reduce interest expense, optimize capital consumption and enhance firm/regulatory liquidity metrics.
• Manage funding, interest rate, basis, cross-currency and FX risks associated with existing and prospective funding transactions.
• Support the sustainable growth and diversification of the firm's secured and unsecured funding footprint.
• Partner with sales teams across the firm to understand counterparty funding capabilities and how they can best be met with firm funding products offered.
